Described below are a variety of Reiki services that we offer, a brief history of the origins of Reiki, and some of the scientific foundations of the practice.

We do not believe in selling spirituality. Our "fees" are a reference based off of what other practitioners are charging for their services. Most of our work is donation-based and we work with you so you can pay what you can afford. We will never turn anyone away for lack of funds.We have both been shown grace in our times of need and are paying it forward.

*In-person Usui reiki sessions

Reiki experiences will be different for each individual and the sessions are guided by intuition. After arriving at the studio you can expect to have a brief conversation to cover what your expectations and goals are for the session. You may chose to receive reiki seated or laying down and with or without hands-on contact. The goal is for you to be comfortable so that you are open to receive the energy.
*Distance Usui reiki sessions

Reiki can be channeled to anywhere in the world at any time. All we need to know is when and where you would like to receive it, and which practitioner you would like to act as the channel. After scheduling a distance reiki session, find a quiet place where you are comfortable so that you can be open to receive the healing energy. It is best to meditate for 5 to 10 minutes before the session. When you are ready to receive reiki, simply set the intention or say "I open to receive the reiki being sent to me" and allow yourself to feel whatever comes up in your mind and body. If you find that your thoughts are wandering, notice what they are and then redirect them to what you are feeling. Be aware of any images or emotions that pop up and feel free to discuss them with us afterwards.
*In-person Kundalini reiki sessions

Kundalini reiki must be done at the sanctuary. It has a more structured form than Usui reiki and requires that students sit upright in a chair. However, if you have disabilities that make sitting for long periods difficult, we will be happy to accommodate you, just let us know how. As with Usui reiki, there is no right or wrong way to experience the session and each individual will have a unique experience that is perfect for them.
Attunements
If you are interested in learning reiki and becoming a practitioner, we would be ecstatic to teach and attune you!!! Everybody is able to channel reiki and it requires no more than the desire to learn and practice. The attunements are used to facilitate a clear channel.
As with Usui reiki sessions, Usui attunements can be performed over space and time. However, Kundalini attunements must be done in person. While we both bring many similar skills and insights to the table, you should be sure to trust your intuition when choosing your reiki master. There will be no right or wrong choice.
*Usui Reiki I Attunement

During the level I attunement (shoden), you will be empowered to perform reiki on yourself and others. Dr. Usui, the first reiki master, said that everyone is able to heal illness with just the Shoden. The process of learning the material in the reiki I manual will vary based on your chosen reiki master. Students will learn a variety of meditations, visualization skills and hand positioning. After the material is covered, the attunement will be performed, which normally takes 15-30 minutes.
Usui reiki I must be completed before proceeding to level II.
*Usui Reiki II Attunement
With Eden or Taylor

Reiki level II (Okuden) will deepen your connection and understanding of this practice. This attunement process will teach you the sacred symbols discovered by Dr. Usui during his time in meditation at Mt. Kurama and allow you to send reiki through space and time. You will also learn a variety of meditations to strengthen your awareness and more vividly feel reiki. As with level I, the process of learning the material will vary based on your chosen master's preferred instruction method. Attunements normally take 15-30 minutes.
Usui reiki II must be completed before proceeding to level III.
*Usui Reiki III Master Attunement

During the reiki master lessons (Shinpiden), you will learn how to attune other students. You will learn new symbols and multiple variations of attunement techniques. You will be taught meditations and hand positions to further deepen your connection and ability to feel and channel Reiki. As with levels I and II, the process of learning the material will vary based on your chosen reiki master. Attunements normally take 15-30 minutes.
*Kundalini Reiki I Attunement

During the Kundalini reiki I attunement, all knots/blockages in the chakras are removed. The channel of energy connecting the crown chakra to the root chakra is cleansed and prepared for the Kundalini awakening that you will experience in the second attunement. The Crown, Heart, and Hand chakras are opened and strengthened for the energy to flow. The practitioner will learn to perform a complete healing technique and how to heal remotely from a distance.
*Kundalini Reiki II Attunement
With Taylor

In Kundalini Reiki II attunement, all the practioner's energy channels are strengthened. The main energy channel opens, gently igniting the Kundalini Fire. This reaches the Solar Plexus chakra, preparing for the full Kundalini rising which happens in Kundalini Reiki III. The practitioner is taught a specific meditation which will increase, for short time, the power of the flame in the Kundalini energy. All of the chakras and energy systems of the body are enlightened and a cleansing takes place.
*Kundalini Reiki III Attunement

In Kundalini Reiki III, the previous attunements are strengthened and the Throat, Solar Plexus, and Root chakras are opened. The Kundalini "Fire" is strengthened, reaching up and out of the Crown chakra. The full rising of the Kundalini now occurs. The practitioner learns to attune crystals and other objects making them energy channels as well. They also learn to pass on attunements.

Paying for a reiki session or attunement is like paying for a massage or a class. You are providing compensation for a skill that has taken time and money to learn. You are also paying for your manual and certificate of completion.
Paying for reiki helps to cultivate gratefulness, value, and openness to the healing energy.
Also, 10% of our monthly earnings are donated to various charities and/or shelters, so you know your money is going to the greater good.
The History and Science of Reiki
Usui Reiki
Usui reiki (Usui Shiki Ryoho) is the traditional form of reiki which was founded at the beginning of the 20th century in Japan by Dr. Miako Usui. It was during Dr. Usui's 21-day meditation at Mt. Kurama that he connected with reiki, experienced the divine light and received images of the sacred symbols which are used in practice. Reiki is passed from person to person via specific initiations, attunements, teachings and forms of practice. The word "reiki" is often translated as "universal life energy" or "mysterious atmosphere" and is used for healing the self and others by removing negative energy blockages, re-balancing the chakras and energizing the body. It is the energy that heightens our awareness of the higher self. It is everywhere, in all things, and is never created or destroyed. It is open to any belief system and has many names: Qi, Prana, Soul, Spirit, God, Love. Reiki was created to have no dogma or religious belief attached to it.
Reiki addresses all aspects of the person - physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and those which cannot be identified. The practice of reiki has taken many people down a path of personal growth, healing, and spiritual deepening. Indeed, there are four aspects of Usui Reiki: healing practice, personal development, spiritual discipline, and mystic order.
While receiving reiki, the recipient remains clothed and either lies on a table or sits on a chair in a relaxed state. The practitioner gently places their hands in a series of non-intrusive positions on or near the body. Sessions can take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half, depending on the client's needs. Reiki is intelligent energy and is always working for the highest good of the recipient.
Reiki practitioners are not trained in diagnosis and cannot predict any specific outcome of the treatment. It is intended as a supplement, rather than a substitution, to traditional medical treatment.
Everybody will experience reiki differently depending on their individual needs at the time. Some people may not feel any sensations during a treatment. Others may sense localized heat, tingling, see colors, have visions or experience other emotional responses, all indicating that shifts are taking place.
Kundalini Reiki
Kundalini reiki differs from Usui reiki by how the session is conducted and the specific healing that takes place. While Usui follows a free-form structure that abides to certain guidelines and intentions, Kundalini is far more structured and follows specific steps and hand/body positions. Kundalini reiki includes past life reiki, crystalline reiki, location reiki, dragon reiki, birth trauma reiki, DNA reiki and diamond reiki. It is considered the most potent form of reiki healing because it uses the practioner's activated kunalini energy to heal.
With kundalini reiki, the practitioner can attune objects as well as heal karmic bands between people and places. They can also cleanse rooms and spaces from negative energy and heal situations of certain qualities.
Kundalini is a dharmic concept that refers to the primal energy located at the base of the spine. Many traditions teach methods of awakening kundalini energy for the purpose of spiritual enlightenment and attaining mystic "powers." It is present in each and every one of us, but often lays dormant or unacknowledged. However, it can be accessed and awoken through several techniques, meditations, spiritual understandings and other methods which heighten consciousness and allow us to feel the energy flowing through us. While deep meditation has been the most well known way of leading to kundalini awakenings, it is not the only path and each individual will have a unique experience when opening to activating the energy.
The Science Behind Reiki
Reiki is a bridge between ancient healing traditions and modern scientific models. We now know that we are living in a quantum world where reality is influenced by our intention. Channeling reiki is using intention to manipulate the energy around us for the highest good of all. As with everything, our bodies are made of energy. Biomagnetic energy emanates from the reiki master's hands at 7-10Hz (theta and alpha range). These frequencies are associated with physical healing, relaxation and other positive effects.
All parts of our body have resonate frequencies. Our bones resonate at lower frequencies while our thoughts resonate at higher frequencies. Every cell in our body and atom in the universe is in a constant state of vibration. Entrainment is the tendency for two oscillating bodies to lock into phase so that they vibrate in harmony (harmonic resonance). This means that, in most cases, the weaker of the two vibrations will adjust to the stronger vibration. It is with this understanding that the reiki master enables the balancing of the recipient's chakras and the infusing of the high and healing frequency of love into the recipient's body.
Reiki energy flows through our bodies and everything around us constantly. In the human body, this magnetic pulse is known as a bio magnetic field. The presence of which has been confirmed using tools such as Kirlian photography, which captures images of the biofield. Scientists have found that measuring the magnetic fields of the body with magneto cardiograms and magneto encephalograms can provide a more accurate indication of what is happening inside the body than traditional electrical measurements. Furthermore, imbalances and gaps in the biofield, which can be seen by such imaging techniques, have been found to not only be indicative but predictive of specific illnesses, so they can be prevented before onset.
Dr. Masuro Emoto is known for his research with intention and water. He found that negative intentions had negative effects on water, arranging the molecules in imbalanced, non-harmonic shapes. The water molecules which were subjected to positive intention aligned in beautiful, balanced, geometrical configurations. Our bodies are primarily water, so one theory is that the use of intention can be used to balance and align the molecules that we are made of. And, if nothing else, his experiment supports the hypothesis that intentions (even just in thought form) have physical ramifications on tangible and observable reality.
"The universal life force is so big we cannot measure it, so deep we cannot fathom it; therefore in Japanese we call it Reiki. It is comparable to a radio station, broadcasting radio waves everywhere. There are no wires connecting the radio station to your home, yet when you turn on the receiver and tune into the radio waves from the station, you receive what they are sending. Likewise, the principles of Reiki are the same."
